Current & Past Projects of Greg's

Currently, Greg is working on his father's house. Actually, it's a trailer that has been converted into a house. The inside has been completely stripped out and designed to meet their needs. Sheet rock, big rooms with very nice bathrooms. His dad's bathroom includes a glass block shower with a waterfall. Lot's of custom oak cabinets. There is now an addition to the outside with a "real" roof with architect shingles. A few more days on the outside and then onto the new kitchen.

This was the first project Greg built after being married for five years. Susan had no idea when she married him that he could do things like this. After graduating from Arizona State University with a degree in computers, they looked around for waterbed and couldn't find anything they liked. So Greg came up with the idea to build one. Susan couldn't believe her eyes when it began to take shape.

After 10 years of marriage, they finally decided to have a baby named Preston. Again, they looked around for a crib, but nothing excited them. Finally, Greg said again, "let's build one out of solid oak." After Preston, came Brooklyn and she then used it. Now that Brooklyn is three, Greg and Susan couldn't stand to store it so we are letting other couples borrow the crib.

This was originally a changing table for Preston. He liked to look at himself in the mirror. We didn't know what to do with it after he grew up since it was specifically designed for a changing table. On the way out the door to be stored, it ended up here in the family room where it still is located.

During construction of the second story addition, Greg had run all wiring for stereo and TV under the floor. He had no idea why, but after the addition was finished, it only made sense to build the TV stand. Two things are unique about this project out of solid oak. First, the lighted glass bricks tie the unit to the bathroom which has a glass block shower. Second, the couch in the background wouldn't be of any use if the TV didn't rotate around. Thus, the whole unit swivels 180 degrees.

Christmas morning of 1990 was boring for Greg. He actually went out into a cotton field and borrowed a backhoe from a local farmer. Three months later, he had build a pool which included three waterfalls, fiber optics, recessed diving board and plenty of extras. In October of 95, Greg began working on a slide from the second story addition. He built a sun deck from which the slide begins. To get around the slide, you actually walk underneath it. Notice the palm trees which he stuccoed. To see Greg and Preston come down the slide, click here!

Christmas 1996 led Greg to the same problem, finding new furniture for the kids. Of course, he ended up building them. Brooklyn's room was converted to a house complete with bed, bookshelves, door bell and slide. For more pictures, click here!

Preston most definitely enjoys playing in the diesels at Greg's work. It only made sense that for Christmas, his dad should build him a diesel with real lights, air horns, stereo and instrument panel. For more pictures, click here!

The upstairs bathroom in the second story edition is unique. Greg wanted to enjoy this room. He always said that he wanted to entertain guest for dinner in his bathroom. The bathroom is very large. It actually wraps around the stair case in a u-shape design. There are three rooms that make up the bathroom. There are over nine separate lighting sequences, stereo and two telephones in the bathroom. The shower is made from glass block with two shower heads, built in bench and no door to close.
