Before hitting the pool, we take a side trip to the ice skating rink. After one of our chaperons backed out at the last minute, the pressure is on for Greg and Susan to get everyone laced up and out on the ice without extra hands. However, each person cooperates and it doesn't take long.

Only two of the party-goers had ever skated before besides Preston and Brooklyn.	Crowding around Susan, everyone listens carefully as she explains the importance of lacing the skates tightly.
Brooklyn pairs up with some of the girls Preston invited. Miriakah and Brooklyn get their skates after the boys.	Brooklyn and Preston have become quite the little ice skaters this year after skating on Brooklyn's birthday in February and again several time since then.
Taking turns being on the ice with all of the kids, Greg makes sure everyone is having a good time.	Greg helps some of the kids who have never skated before get the hang of it. It isn't long before Tommy is off on his own.
Though hesitant at first, everyone ends up braving the cold and slippery ice and feeling confident before skating time is over. Joe has a great time once he gains a little confidence.	Brooklyn whizzes around the slower skaters barely missing this little girl as she comes crashing down.
Originally from up north, David skates as good as he walks and helps others learn the skill as well.	Around and around and around she goes. When she'll stop, nobody knows. Brooklyn is one of the few who never stop to take a break.
Friends for several years now, Yolee's mother ended up driving down and we met her at the skating rink.	Miriakah realizes skating isn't too much different than roller blading.
Mat, also an experienced skater, has fun speeding round the rink.	Preston tries to skate a little with everyone glad to have his friends along for a great birthday celebration.
	After an hour and a half of skating, the kids are all ready to eat. We drive to a park and let them eat and burn off some more energy. The next stop will be the Scuba Diving party.
