We left packing to the last moment before we had to leave at 10:30 am. The night before leaving Orlando, we had a slight problem with our timeshare. Seems that while we were gone during the previous day, we noticed that our front door was continually left open. Our front door leads to two more doors, one going to the main part of the time share and the other leading to a one bedroom lockoff unit. We just thought that a maintenance worker had left the door open.
We later learned that the front desk of the timeshare had actually placed people into our lockoff unit by mistake. It was quite a surprise to find someone knocking on our door and wanting into our lockoff unit. After sifting through the details, we learned that show girls (which Greg didn't mind them sleeping in the next room to us) for the Back Street Boys were put into the room without proper authorization. Westgate gave us a free week for the inconvenience. This worked out great to our advantage. We didn't think that we would be able to pull off another 14 days in Orlando. But with this extra week, we knew that Orlando 2002 would be another 14 day adventure. We were all excited. In all, this was one of the best vacations ever. Fourteen days gave us time to relax and not force everything into one week.
Arriving home late that night, we found Kindra excited to see us. We had a friend of ours watch our house and Kindra during the 14 days. She did a wonderful job cleaning, mowing the yard, cleaning the pool and watching Kindra, right up till the last day when she placed the pool's cover on the grass and killed the grass dead. Oh well, we're sure the grass will grow back.
Knowing that there were no trips coming up for at least 6 months, we knew we had time to relax. But Greg came up with the fact that football season was about to start and that we would be travelling to Phoenix at least every other week.
