Despite all of the excitement of theme parks, the kids still find staying at the condo to swim just as pleasing. Under the mushroom at one of the pools, the kids enjoy running in and out of the waterfalls. Preston used his mask and snorkel to find money at the bottom of the large pool and practiced underwater somersaults

When our video camera went on the blink, we thought our web site was history. After going through the trouble of trying to rent a camera, we found that a little alcohol and q-tips can fix almost anything--even what we thought didn't tape at NASA. Susan spends time by the pool updating the web site text using video we thought had been lost.

Pirates Dinner Show, one of the newest attractions here in Orlando, will definitely be Preston's favorite part of the entire trip. Front row seats provided us great views to lead the orange section in this pirate competition. This action-packed performance left little time to eat the chicken and beef dinner.

Fighting scenes, sword fights, musical solos, and Tarzan-tip swings keeps everyone on edge and laughing. Audience participation included passing a flag race, cheering, waving, and swinging drink mugs while singing "Drink, Drink, Drink" and "My Body Lies Over the Ocean".

Sitting right under our orange pirates lookout kept the action close as he swung above our heads and climbed rope ladders right next to Preston. The story line included a princess captured by the pirates and the pirate king's young son falling in love with her.
|

Throughout the entire two and a half hour show, both Preston and Brooklyn had eyes glued on the action. The set, made up of a large ship, was surrounded by water accessible only by plank or swinging rope.

Unusual additions to the show included a romantic ballad backgrounding daring trapeze-type performances as this pair turned somersaults, twirled, and used hand rings. Trampoline tumbling, and a rotating balancing ladder also added unique acts to the show.

Lucky Preston was chosen as one of three boys to participate in the show's boat race. Unfortunately, after being escorted down to the docking area, the boat wouldn't start so he headed back to his seat with an apology and a promise to go on the large ship later in the show.

Held by our orange section pirate, both Brooklyn waves as Preston stands on the stage ship preparing to become honorary pirates. When the show first started and they asked Preston if he wanted to go on the boat, he wasn't sure and had to be nudged a little by mom to say yes. Once up there, he couldn't have been prouder.

Standing at attention the entire time, Preston salutes the pirate king while he reads the pirate oath. Bravely, Brooklyn stands by his side listening carefully to what they both have gotten themselves in to. Both received honorary pirate hats after taking the oath.

The entire crew was friendly, welcoming, and excellent at getting the audience to participate and enjoy the show. Definitely a family adventure, this may end up being all of our favorites.
