Fun day at sea on Monday turned out to be a drizzly one. However, that didn't stop Greg and Preston from enjoying the slide. Although the slide wasn't as long as the Carnival Destiny's slide, it turned out to be much faster. Brooklyn wasn't impressed that she was too small to enjoy the "Fun Ship Slide", but she was a trooper and enjoyed swimming anyway.

Greg on the left and Preston on the right are seen as they come down the bottom of the slide. Though the cool weather kept many passengers out of the pool, it didn't stop us.

Moments after the boys enjoyed the slide, down came the rain and everyone scattered. Susan and Brooklyn tough it out though. Susan, in the water, and Brooklyn, bundled up, decide rain would not cut their swim time short. The remainder of the day was spent having ice cream and spending time in our room.

Monday night was our first formal dinner. This ended up being Preston's favorite thing about the cruise. Adorned in their black and gold outfits, Preston and Brooklyn were show-stoppers as many of the passengers stopped in the halls to admire them as they passed. Although Preston's jacket was a little big, and Brooklyn kept walking out of her shoes, they managed to walk arm-in-arm to and from dinner. Both kids were extremely good at all of the dinners minding their manners and managing not to spill even once the whole cruise.

Besides being spoiled with chocolates on our pillows, many nights we were greeted by towel animals made by our cabin steward. This one is a swan.

The rough seas continued through the night, and while we had managed walking down the hallways swaying from side to side, sleeping without rolling was a new challenge. Of the five cruises we have been on, we had never experienced this much movement. Though it was more humorous to us, many were seen with sea sick patches.
